PT&C has a terrific opportunity for a Sales Professional in Washington, DC.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, maturing deals through the process, and closing new contracts for the firm

  • Developing and executing targeted account plans in the private sector market

  • Developing and executing focused call plans to identify and connect with new clients in new markets

  • Developing and managing a robust opportunity pipeline of at least 3X annual sales quota

  • Identifying and properly qualifying business opportunities throughout the sales cycle

  • Prospecting in both existing accounts and new “white space” targets

  • Developing, articulating, and delivering the PT&C value proposition to executive levels of organizations

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with “C-Level” clients and decision makers

  • Collaborating with the PT&C Marketing & Proposal team on development of proposals and responses to requests for quotes (RFQs); participating in team reviews; developing “win themes”

  • Leading negotiations, coordinating complex decision-making process, and overcoming objections to closure

  • Representing the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the company

  • Promoting positive relations with partners, vendors, and clientele

  • Accurately forecasting potential sales and anticipated closing date to allow for adequate allocation of resources and projections of revenue and profit

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Experience carrying an annual sales quota and meeting or exceeding sales targets

  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills

  • Strong presentation, communication, organization, and time management skills

  • Ability to negotiate with clients and teaming partners to further the best interests of the firm

  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings

  • Ability to contribute and foster creative new ideas and identify new markets and solutions

  • Ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule

  • Ability to interact regularly with executive management, operations personnel and customers

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze situations, take independent action, and make sound decisions

  • Results oriented

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university (preferably in Marketing and/or Sales); or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5+ years of business development and sales experience

  • Experience with proposal preparation

  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and quotas

  • Successful candidates will have at least 5 years of experience with professional services business development and sales

 

Priority will be given to candidates with understanding and experience in selling services around project management, risk management, cost engineering and estimation, and environmental management.

 

Benefits:

  • Paid Time Off (PTO) – Employees begin accruing at the rate of 20 days per year. PTO begins accruing immediately on your first day of employment with PT&C.

  • Matching 401(k) – Employees are eligible immediately. You may contribute 6% of your salary and PT&C will match the first 6% with 3% or $.50 on the dollar. You may also contribute more than 6%.
