PT&C has an exciting opportunity for a Project Controls Specialist in Qatar. This opportunity will consist of the following responsibilities:

  • Provide project controls expertise (including senior cost engineering and scheduling services) to ensure the construction-contractor reported progress and cost align with actual field status and to ensure the project controls reporting requirements (schedule updates and actual cost) are properly prepared and submitted by the construction-contractor to the USACE-TAM Qatar mission in Winchester, Virginia.

  • General project controls support is provided to the USACE Project Management Office (PMO) in Qatar relative to the data-submittals. The task is commensurate with the USACE’s standard procedures for the management of mega projects.

  • The major objectives of this position are to provide to the USACE-TAM for the seven sites in Qatar:

    • Cost engineering and Primavera (P6) schedule support/guidance as required to the construction contractors to ensure required reporting is provided to accomplish EVMS monitoring/reporting

    • Verify that the actual progress reported is the actual state of completion in the field

    • Support the PMO in understanding the basis of the data provided and the reports/impact of metrics produced from the Qatar PCS

Requirements:

  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN

  • BA/BS in a relevant field.

  • A minimum of two years of industry related business experience as a scheduler/cost engineer. Alternatively, an Associates’ degree with four years of experience will be considered.

  • Project management experience such as risk management, performance reporting, cost analysis, executive briefings, and schedule management.

  • Must be proficient in MS Office tools and Primavera (P6).

  • Experience with USG cost accounting and financial systems is preferred.

  • Must possess proven experience developing and maintaining working relationships with senior-level officials and technical experts.

  • Must have the ability to work collaboratively with all team members and stakeholders, and the ability to work independently and take direction from supervisor. 

  • Excellent written and oral skills are required, and experience in working in a fast-paced analytical environment is preferred.

  • Valid drivers’ license.
