Services: Cost Estimating
Jacksonville State University
PT&C provided a cost estimate for a 4,682-seat addition to the precast concrete Burgess-Snow Field at Jacksonville State Stadium. The project also included construction of the 208,301-sf, 7-story Stadium Towers, which featured a four-story residence hall, skyboxes, and a press box, connected to the back of the stadium.
Other supporting buildings included two masonry framed concession buildings, two masonry framed restroom buildings, a souvenir building, three ticket booths, concourse renovations, and all associated site work.
PT&C divided the cost estimate into specific work packaged established by the owner. This requested customization proved to be a challenge because the estimators had to sort the estimate components according to an atypical breakdown, ensuring that no items were duplicated or omitted. The PT&C team’s cost estimate came in below 1% of the average bid on the project.
