Services: Construction Management
Owner's Representative Construction Management
Modeled after the Arcus Titi in Rome, Italy, Atlanta’s Millennium Gate was built to preserve and interpret Georgia’s history, architecture, culture, and philanthropic heritage. It houses a 12,000-sf museum that narrates Georgia and Atlanta history through interactive technology, film, and exhibitions. At its completion, it became the largest classical monument built in the U.S. since the Jefferson Memorial opened in Washington, D.C., in 1943.
The National Monuments Foundation selected PT&C to manage construction of the monumental arch, representing the owner from pre-design through construction completion, facility turnover, and final budget reconciliation during project closeout.
Among PT&C’s earliest tasks was an independent analysis of the initial estimated construction cost. This established a credible, realistic budget and gave the owner confidence that the full scope of the project would be achieved with the available funding.
Millennium Gate is located in Atlantic Station, the largest urban brownfield redevelopment in the United States.
